The 4th Orr
Soooo, we now have a new addition to our family! Sydney Morgan Orr. Born March 16th at 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 inches long. She is a doll! I think she follows both sides of the family in a few different ways. The Rucker side because she's such a delight. And the Orr side because she's just laid back and seems to love life! Anyway, Rachel has had a blast so far being the big sis. Every morning (before school, this is summer time now), she would come in and pick Sydney up and take her into her room to play or just hang out before Rachel had to leave for school. In the afternoon's when Rachel would come home, the first thing she'd do is come in, drop her bags and say "Where's that cute little bundle of joy?". Even though Daddy tries to be a tough cookie, he's really a just a big teddy bear and Sydney has him wrapped like he never thought he would be! Ha-ha! Boy has his life changed! He should feel so lucky to have started raising Rachel first because she came already potty trained! We have a joke around here that the only difference between Rachel and Sydney is that Noah didn't have to change Rachel's diapers. I think the Lord has a reason for everything and Rachel definitly needed to come first! Noah is a the apple of her eye! He is such a good Dad to her.
Rachel was recently in a JCPenny store where she spotted the perfect Father's Day gift for Noah. She came home and told me about it and was soooo excited for me to go get it. I kind of thought for a second "Hmmm, I wonder how cheezy this will be?". Well after a week she was still very hooked on the idea that we get this for him so we took her over there to get it before she left for Texas. I was quite surprised that is was such a nice gift and when we took it to the register is rang up even cheaper than the "sale" price said. She was so happy to give it to him that she didn't want to wait to wrap and so she made him open it in the car! His reaction was great! He said "Oh! That's very cool!" Which you know when he says that he means it! She was so pleased and just exstatic that he loved it and that she picked it out for him. The smile on her face and giggle in her excitement was wonderful! What more could you ask for? That gift now sits on Noah's side table and makes it look so much more organized and clean. Nice job Rach!
As for Sydney, when she smiles at her dad he can't help but to smile back! It's sooo darling. It's so fun to watch how he is with her and I even make him hold her (on purpose) becuase I love watching them two interact. Where he was once a lonely bachelor with only a dog to keep him company, he now has the companionship of 3 beautiful females in his life. Though you may never hear if from him, he is completely in love with all of us too.
